Hexenseehütte
The Hexenseehütte is located in Serfaus 2.580 meters above sea level.
The tiny wood lodge Hexenseehütte is framed by the mighty 3034 meter peak Hexenkopf, dominating the scenery from high above, and the dazzling turquoise Hexensee just a few steps below.
Magic tales and exciting narrations have been circulating about the Masner area for ages. Was it a horde of witches celebrating their pagan dances on the shores of the lake, who gave the Hexensee, which stands for German "Witch Lake", its mysterious name? Or is the lake named after the majestic peak Hexenkopf? Not even the ancients know the exact answer. However, it is well known among all generations, that the tiny wood lodge with its breathtaking natural surrounding offers probably the cosiest and most down-to-earth hut experience throughout the region.
Up here idyllic atmosphere goes hand in hand with an intensive, pure mountain experience. Ibexes aren't a rare sight around the hut and might be observed performing their stunning dance between rocks and ridges right from the terrace.
