Dogs can also spend a relaxing holiday in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis regardless of the season and enjoy the may hiking trails with beautiful, scenic views. Many walking trails are equipped with sufficient dog stations. Numerous streams and lakes also invite you to linger and cool off. So that you can also enjoy a relaxing holiday with your dog, you must pay attention to a few rules so as not to disturb other guests and locals.
Here you will find many useful tips for a holiday with your four-legged friend.

Please consider the following guidelines

Dogs on agricultural land
Please clean up after your dog. Dog faeces can contaminate our pastures and animal feed, putting our livestock at risk of parasitic infections.
Only take your dog to agricultural land, not to high pastures

Dogs on mountain pastures
Keep your dog ample distance from grazing animals.
Avoid letting you dog come into close proximity to mother cows and their calves. It is the mother’s instinct to protect their calf from harm.

Dogs on hiking trails
Look ahead as you walk. If your dog is about to encounter a jogger, cyclist etc., please put the lead on and keep your dog by your side. Remember, fast movements may encourage your dog to run.

Dogs at the forest
Keep your dog on a lead. Dogs with strong hunting instincts must be kept on a lead. In case of any incident with a forest animal, please inform the forest ranger in charge immediately.

Encounter with people
Keep the dog close to your person and fit the lead. In larger crowds, put the dog back on the lead, and if necessary, put on a well-fitting muzzle. Go out of the other person’s way, keep a distance or let the dog sit. Never leave dogs unattended with children.

Encounter with other dogs
Avoid face-to-face encounters between dogs on a tight leash – it’s better to pass the other individual with some separation distance between the dogs. If dogs are incompatible with other dogs, keep sufficient distance, move quickly or avoid. When meeting dogs without a leash, make sure that no one is harassed. Only dogs that heed calls from their owners are allowed to run free.

Dog Stations

Please use the bags provided at our numerous Dog Stations for waste disposal. These stations with bag dispensers and rubbish bins can be found throughout the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region.
